Myofascial Release Workshops

For pain, recovery, and range of motion

The MELT Method®

The MELT Method® uses hard and soft rubber balls that fit into the palm of your hand to release “stuck stress” in the connective tissue. The rolling and gliding techniques focus on pressure points in a targeted routine that changes range of motion in only 30 minutes. Participants often feel immediate changes in their sensation of pain, circulation and held patterns of stress. Try this class if you are suffering from tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, joint inflammation, arthritis, sciatica, or lower back pain. The balls are provided or available for purchase. This can be a one time workshop or weekly class, especially useful for those working at a computer for 8 hours a day. Choose between a hand/upper body routine or a foot/lower body routine.

The MELT Method for Aching Joints

The MELT Method® uses hard and soft rubber balls that fit into the palm of your hand to release tension in the connective tissue. The rolling and gliding techniques focus on pressure points in a targeted routine that creates real change within 1 hour. Participants with foot & ankle pain, wrist & finger pain may find relief in this class. Kits are available for purchase after the course. This is a great class for everyone who experiences a limited range of motion, stiffness, or joint pain. Supplies provided.

Stretch and MELT

Giving attention to the fascial network can decrease pain and improve range of motion in a way that stretching and weight lifting cannot. The MELT Method class re-hydrates the tissues making this class perfect for computer users, parents of young children, and those who have arthritis. We will begin and end with targeted stretching. Supplies provided.

Upper Back Unwind

Use rubber balls to roll along the supraspinatus, trapezius, lats, and erector spinae. Don’t know where they are? You will learn. After only 30 minutes of massaging their upper back, participants see a complete change in range of motion in their neck and shoulders. Great for those who text, watch TV, drive….so all of us!

Tennis Ball Muscle Release

Roll tennis balls along key muscles to relieve pain and improve range of motion. The fascia, a type of connective tissue, becomes dehydrated from repetitive motion, age, and wear & tear. Try this class if you are looking for a new wellness tool that includes all types of people, even those who aren’t exercising. There are many practical applications including carrying tennis balls while traveling, using them at work, or starting the day to relieve stiffness.

MELT & Stretch: Myofascial Ball Massage for Hands, Wrists, and Feet

Are you over 40, in pain or lack range of motion and feel like you can’t just “stretch it out”? Do you have wrist pain or joint pain in the feet? It may be the connective tissue. From years of repetitive motion, lack of motion or sitting in the same position, our connective tissue dries out. You need to rehydrate through massage. Try this MELT Method ball massage where we roll small rubbery balls along the body to release stuck stress and improve range of motion and joint discomfort. We will include yoga based stretching exercises to see the changes before and after MELTing.

Fascia Release with Tennis Balls

Self-massage uses tennis balls rolled along the body to relieve pain from stiff muscles and improve range of motion. It is a technique you MUST include in your wellness practices when you are 40+. The class targets the fascia, a form of connective tissue, surrounding all the muscles, joints, and organs that becomes dehydrated from repetitive motion, age, and wear & tear. We will identify key muscles in the body and learn rolling and stretching techniques to awaken the area for healthier movement patterns. Great for someone who is looking to improve their well-being but isn’t ready for high impact exercise and is looking to get out of pain. It is also an excellent complement for someone who has a workout that has plateaued, and they are looking for a new wellness technique to break through limitation.
