Vagus Nerve Reset/ What Happens in Vagus
Polyvagal theory is based on the study of the anatomy and function of the Vagus Nerve, also known as the Vagal Nerves which are the main nerves of the parasympathetic nervous system. This system controls specific body functions such as digestion, heart rate and the immune system. These functions are involuntary and according to Medical News Today, “The Vagus Nerve sends information from the gut to the brain, which is linked to dealing with stress, anxiety, and fear–hence the saying, 'gut feeling”.
In this workshop/series, participants will explore the anatomy and function of the parasympathetic nervous system focusing on the Vagus Nerve. Students will learn how to recognize when this elegant system is operating optimally and when it is "offline". Define and learn your personal style of Dysregulation and engage in simple repeatable exercises and practices that quickly restore homeostasis and provide calm.

EFT Tapping for Emotional Balance
A powerful self-help method based on research showing that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Clinical trials have shown that EFT tapping is able to rapidly reduce the emotional impact of memories and incidents that trigger emotional distress.
Emotional freedom technique (EFT) is an alternative treatment for physical pain and emotional distress. It’s also referred to as tapping or psychological acupressure.
According to its developer, Gary Craig, a disruption in energy is the cause of all negative emotions and pain. Though still being researched, EFT tapping has been used to treat people with anxiety and people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
