Virtual FAQs
-
Are Classes Suited to Beginners?
Yes! We begin with the basic form of the exercise and gradually increase intensity. You choose the level right for you & your body. If you have a specific health condition, come early to class to speak to the instructor or email the office. We encourage you to take class at your own pace and to grow with us, at a pace right for you.
-
How Do I Get to My Virtual Class?
If your office is holding a virtual class, usually the wellness coordinator or our office has the link. Pre-registration happens on our external software Acuity, and all reminder and confirmation emails are from that software product. Recordings are sent from us about 24 hours after class.
-
How Do I Know That I Am Registered?
A confirmation email is sent right after signing up. Contact us if you do not receive the confirmation email from Acuity Software/Square space.
-
Where Is My Link?
The link is emailed 1-2 hours before class begins. If you sign up within 1 hour of class your link will arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts. It comes from no-reply@apiant.com. We suggest you add these email addresses to your contacts list. Each week we have a different meeting ID and password. Pro tip: check spam and other filtering folders!
-
How Do I Get My Recording?
Recordings are sent after class ends to everyone who is registered for class, whether you attended or not.
If you are taking an exclusive workshop booked for your organization the recording may come automatically if you signed up in advance, or it may be internally posted by your wellness coordinator. Check your program details!
-
Can I Get Recordings for a Longer Period of Time?
There are on-demand recordings available for purchase. This option is also available with exclusive virtual wellness classes. Inquire with Inward Office or your wellness leader. We are happy to make accommodations for specific instances--our duty is to serve you and help you in your wellness journey!
-
Do You Have Music in Class?
Some instructors do use music, others do not.
-
Virtual is new to me. What do I need to know?
For many of us we are trying virtual fitness for the first time! Firstly, consider what size screen you need. A computer or TV is best so that you can easily see the instructor. To connect the computer to the TV you need an HDMI cord.
Before and after class you may ask questions to the instructor. Or you can email the office. This is the best time to receive personalized instruction if you need variations for health limitations.
Your camera and sound will be off for the duration of class. The instructors will be on. If you encounter tech trouble, unless it's the instructor's audio or video, they will not be able to troubleshoot it for you. In that case, it's best to call our office to see if we can remedy any issues you are encountering. There are many factors like your internet speed, your device, the instructor's internet speed and device and we will do our best to figure out what will optimize your experience.
FAQs for wellness coordinators looking to schedule a class.
-
Are classes suited to beginners?
Most of our classes are for those brand new to exercise, beginning to exercise again, and we offer variations in class for those with movement limitations or health conditions. For the regular fitness enthusiast, our classes create regularlity, accountability, teach the mind-body connection, correct stretching and relieve accumulated physical and mental stress. When you are with a live teacher, it's best to tell them what support you need in class.
-
Do you provide supplies?
In most cases, yes, we provide mats, straps, and/or blocks. We indicate which supplies are needed if you are holding a virtual class for employees.
-
What times and days do you schedule classes?
Our clients decide on the time and day. We work all days of the week, any time that works for your office. We have held classes for night shifts and supplied on-demand workshops for workplaces with hectic schedules.
-
How long does it take to begin a program?
For in-person exclusive classes, we prefer 4 weeks’ lead time. Virtual classes can be set up within two weeks.
-
What is the best class to begin with?
Inward Office is known for yoga fundamentals, desk or chair based yoga classes, and mindfulness meditation classes. Each of these classes can be adapted for your group. They each illustrate the power of the mind-body connection in overall health and well-being.
-
Can you recommend a class?
Yes. During our initial meeting we will ask questions about your workplace and wellness goals. Since 2007 we have worked with organizations across industries and can make a recommendation based on past experience, that also takes into account your goals and employee population.
