Hum Yourself Calm
Hum Yourself Calm is a practical, evidence-informed workshop designed to help employees quickly downshift from stress into a state of calm, focus, and clarity. Using simple vocal exercises and guided breathwork, participants learn how to regulate their nervous system in right in class.
Through gentle humming, extended exhales, and rhythmic breathing patterns, the body is guided out of “fight or flight” and into a more balanced, parasympathetic state. These techniques stimulate the vagus nerve, supporting emotional regulation, improved heart rate variability (HRV), and reduced stress levels. The result is not only immediate relief, but also increased resilience, clearer thinking, and more effective communication.
In group settings, shared vocal practices are vulnerable and exposing. They can also foster psychological safety, connection, and team cohesion—key drivers of a healthy workplace culture. This workshop is highly accessible, requires no musical experience, and equips employees with tools they can use anytime to reset, refocus, and perform at their best.
